Higher Lane, Lymm

Susan and her family were relocating to the North West from London and were successful in the acquisition of a late Victorian three storey, five-bedroom house in Lymm. The ground floor layout was problematic with a small entrance lobby and circuitous access from the entrance to the living room and kitchen.

The challenge facing us was to improve the circulation and create a bright, welcoming entrance that connected easily to the kitchen, family room and garden beyond. The introduction of a glazed roof lantern wrapped around the first floor outrigger has allowed natural light to penetrate deep in to the heart of the house.  A new well planned kitchen and family & dining area is now at the centre of family life.
